A Life for a Life

we used to be best friends, you and me -
what has changed?
have you grown wary of the lies your brethren spill?
we used to go to sleep knowing,
that neither one of us will go off alone -
together, they call it -
forever, we called it
but now -
now, i'm not entirely sure
now, you stand in front of me,
a knife to your heart,
as well as mine -
a life for a life, they call it,
and if it works,
we go - this time,
together.

First time doing a wolf! ^^ I'm sure I'll get better with shading and stuff eventually. haha. I believe I'll stick to horses for now!
